LONDON, September 27. * Wγ Asq\iith has appointed a Special Committee charged with the oversight of tlvc wai, ccoMhting of, himself, Earl Kitchener, Mr Lloyd George, Mr A. J. Balfour. Sir Edward Grey, Marquis of La.nsdownc, Mr .!. Bonar Uw, and Mr Winston Churchill. The committee will absorb the functions of the Cabinet's DardajicJ les Corumittw. The "Daily Chronicle" states that Mr Asquith's new committee has been entrusted with the supervision of the general conduct of the war. The •"Chronicle" adds: "Tho appointment of the committee implies that the war will be waged on our part with more vigour."
