FIFTY YEARS A CHURCH.
HOLY TRINITY JUBILEF.. The jubilee of the Holy Trinity Church at Devonport fell to-day. On 4th September. ISOo. the church wns opened by the Bishop of New Zealand, Rnd the same old wooden building stands today, showi ing many signs of its great age, but still a credit to the care and consideration of tbe parish. To celebrate the jubilee a series of special services is to be held. The Anglican Bishop of Auckland. Dr. Averiil. will preach at the choral service at 11 a.m. tomorrow, and will holtt a confirmation ceremony at 3.15 p.m. A children's thanksgiving service in the afternoon will be attended by the scholars from the Sunday schools of 5-t. Augustine's, St. Michael's nnd the Holy Trinity churches. Evensong will be conducted by Archdeacon Evans. The parishioners i are sparing no effort to make the jubilee services worthily commemorative of the ! occasion. During next week there will :be social occasions which have all Wen j designed to fit in with the jubilee celebration.
