General yon Kluck has rrecovered from his wounds, and is in command of the Landwehr (first line of reserves) in Silesia. He will not in future- hold a command at the front. General yon Klncfc —"'Old yon o'clock,™ as he was known to the British. Tommies—was in command of the German, right wing when it was crumpled up at the Marne. His tactics were cx/rtievsed, but ids masterly retirement won. the admiration .of experts, and the manner in which it was carried out enabled the rest of the German armies to take up the position on the Aisne they now hold. To-day's cable is the first news we have had of yon. Kluck for several months^ ' .. .*j
