The funeral of the late Mrs Blackwood, wife of Mr J. H. Blackwood. of Onehunga. look place on Saturday afternoon. An impressive service was held in the Congregational Church, conducted by the Rev. S. J. Campbell. The chief mourners were Mr J. H. Blackwood and thr>>e daughters, Air ,T. Beaver (father), Messrs Walter and James Beaver (brothers). Miss Beaver and Mrs Denize (sisters of the deceased lady). The funeral cortege, was one of the largest ever seen in Onehunga, and included representatives of the Manukau Lodge of Freemasons, Onelninga Chamber of Commerce, Onehunga Bowling Club, Independent Order of Keehabitcs, the Adult School, and all the churches. Mr Campbell read the burial service at the interment, which took place in the Waikaraka Cemetery.
