ROLL OF HONOUR UNVEILED.
There -.vac a large congregation at thp Baptist Tabernacle last evening, when Rev. Knowlea Kempton conducted an intercessory service on behalf of our men at the front and the cause for which they are. lighting. An interesting feature of the service was the unveiling of a "Roll of Ilouour," upon which was inscribed the names of 40 men associated with the church who are serving the Empire in the present war. Upon the list were five who liave been wounded at the Dardanelles, and one, Lance-Corporal Edgar Ogilvie (a former member of the Tabernacle school and deacon of the Richmond Baptist Church), who was killed in action in France when serving with the Canadians Mr. Seering H. Matthews (hon. deacon of the Tabernacle), before performing the unveiling ceremony, stated that lie had seen active service in the Maori war. The congregation sang John Oxenhaxn's hymn and the National Anthem.
