IMPROVING CRICKET.
N.S.W. SCHEME DISCUSSED. (Received 8.30 a.m.) LONDON, March 24. Discussing the New South Wales proposal to substitute eight balls an ov<er for six, with the object of "brightening up" cricket, the "Sporting Life" says: "Tlhe eight-baW over would not brighten up cricket. It would only save a few minutes, while it would prejudicially affect the young, fast bowlers. The proI posed change is hardly worth the candle."
