FOOTBALL.
NORTHERN UWION. CITY ROVERS' CLUB. The annual meeting of the City Rovers' Football Club was held at King's Chambers. Fort Street, on the 21st mstIn the absence of the president (Mr. J. C. G'.eeson). Mr. (1. Hunt presided over an attendance of 40 members. Eleven ne'.v players were ejected. The annual report referred to the fact that 20 members of the club have offered their services to the country. The balance-sheet showed a credit balance of £13 6/C.
Officers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mr. J. H. Gunsonj delegate to Auckland League, Mr. R. W. Pollock: committee, Messr.s. B. Beard. A. Asher. T. Dixon. J. Kielty, C. Huntley. T. Avery. J. ■Maxwell :" secretary and treasurer, Mr. E. K. Asher: club captain. Mr. A. Asher.
Mr. (j. Hunt presented to the fourth "rade a. set of club jeTseys in appreciation of thpir winning the fourth grade championship. The fourth grade presented to A. Asher an enlargement of the team, as a token of appreciation for ,his services. as_coacb.. last j^gon«
