Dr. C'leary. Roman Catholic Bishop of Auckland, left for Ohristchureh last night to be present at the funeral ceremony of the late Bishop Grimes. Mr. F. W. Flanagan, the Valuer-Gene-ral, arrived in Auckland from Wellington yesterday. Tf he continues in office till September, Mr A. He will return to Auckland at the end of the week, and will hold a sitting at the Auckland Supreme Court on Monday next. The death occurred at the Nelson Hospital last week of Mr. William E. The teachers expressed their regret at her leaving Otago, and hoped that some day she' might return to work ■with -their popular medical inspector (Dr Ada Paterson) in ptago.
