EXCESSIVE LIGHT DUES.

MELBOURNE, this day. A deputation from the Shaw-Savill Company, the L'nion Company, and the New Zealand Shipping Company interviewed Mr. Tudor (Minister for Customs) with reference to the increased light duos*, and asked him to make an exception in the case of ships using only one port. The deputation pointed out that the New Zealand boats used only Hobart. The charges had been increased from £2n to £200 per ship. The Minister promised to grre the matter consideration.
