No. 2 Battery with the New Zealand Force in Egypt, which is composed of Auckland ami Hamilton bojSs, has eairncd a reputation fox smartness and efficiency. In a letter to ihis parents in Hamilton, a member of the battery states I'ha.t they aTe doing a lot of live ttti€'!l tiring, and No. 2 holds titae record for coming into action, their time with ulxe •gam ready for Bring being forty seconds. The time of the best Australian Battery is fifty-five seoondte. The bfß-t Englißfi time 'for carrying out thy operation is fifty seconds. Major Francis Bernard Sykes. the officer in charge of No. 2 Battery, the writer states, was Bent foT, and offered any battery die chose, but replied that ihe was content with the New Zealand No. 2 Battery. General Maxwell commented tihat the battery was as good as any regular one, and a great deal more efficient than most.
