FIRE AT HAMILTON. \_.

While cro'ssihg Victoria Street on Saturday night Mr. Walter Hogg, sen., factory manager at Ellia and Burnand's joinery works, was knocked down by a taxi driven by R. Peake. Rain waa falling at the time, and Peake, who was raising the wind screen, failed to notice anyone in front. 'Mr. Hogg was found to be suffering from two broken ribs and severe bruises.
