Attention is drawn by the chairman of the Northeote School Committee (Mr. Jas. P. McPhail) to the decision of the Auckland Education' Board to hold the annual meeting of householders for the election of school committeee on the 28th April. He points out that on the naiie day the Mayoral, Council, Harbour Board and Hospital Board elections take place, the polling for which closes at 7 p.m., and considers the interest in the result of these polls will seriously militate against a satisfactory attendance at 7.30 p.m. at the householders' meeting. He suggests the Board should alter the date to the last Monday in April, ac was the custom in previous years. In any event, the alteration should be made as far ac muni-cipalities-are concerned.
