RUMOURED CAPTURE

OF ELUSIVE MACEDONIA. DISCIPLINE OJf A RAISES. (Received 10 a.m.) LONDON, March 18. According to the Madrid correspondent of the "Daily Mail," a British cruiser has recaptured the German steamer Macedonia, which slipped out of Las Balmas a couple of days ago while the guardboat was temporarily absent. It was thought that the Macedonia intended trying to get into touch with the Germar commerce raiders, as she had a lot of war stores aboard. After the British steamer Potaro was sunk by the German merchant cruiser Kronprinz Wilhelm. the British sailors were kept prisoners on the raider for six weeks. One of the Potaro's crew states that during that time six of the crew of the Kronprinz were shot for disobeying orders.
