i "THE GLAD EYE." ! The activities of "The Glad Eye" on both sides of tlie footlights at His Majesty's were again completely successful last i night. The effects of Klki's expressive optic were watched by a delighted full house. The last three nights of "The Glad Eye" are announced. :— GRAFTON THEATRE. At the Grafton Theatre (late Alhambra) on Monday next the Fraser Film Company, which has recently obtained the lease of this popular house of entertainment, will present for the first time In Auckland the first Instalment of a fine aerial story entitled. "The Tray of Hearts," supported by a strong programme of specially-selected ' films of varied interest.' This star feature ■will occupy the head of the bill for the ! next two or three months, each chapter i •being shown for a week. A feature of the j story, is that each Inst—lment is a complete story in itself, but the whole film depends npon the opening chapter, containing many fine and attractive incident!. OPERA HOUS-. Last night another good audience attended at the Opera House to witness the current programme for the week, which is of the usual standard of excellence. The turn supplied by Mnrle Quintrell, tbe talented Australian prima donna, was one of those that were most appreciated, while McKenzle and Guest, in their entertaining performances at tne piano, were also accorded deserving applause. "THE TRET OF HEARTS." The management of the Princess Theatre announce that on Monday next, when the usual change of programme will take place, they will present, for the first time a serial story which will -be shown In weekly chapters for the next fifteen weeks. The title is "The Trey of 'Hearts," and, from all accounts, the picture is one of an intensely-interesting character." Unlike the picture of a similar nature presented .at the same theatre some months ago, "Lucille Love," each Instalment of this -film will -be a complete «tory-in itself, without depending upon preceding _or succeeding chapters for iaterpretation. At the King George Theatre tie current programme, with "None But the BraTe"-as the star feature, is meeting- with general success. The Grand Theatre has as its principal attraction on the current bill another fine chapter of the serial story "Dolly of the Dallies:" • 'The Cypher Message," now appearing with apparent success 'at the Princess Theatre, has already, been witnessed by many patrons, who have expressed ' their satisfaction. The famous cinema actress Miss Jackie Saunders appears in tie principal picture now appearing at tbe Queen's Theatre, "The Square Triangle." - . The current bill at the Lyric Theatre hasas the star item a'fine selection. "David Garrlck," which will continue until the end of the week. "The Adventures of Katilyn," another chapter of which is appearing at the Globe Theatre, Is proving a highly popular attraction. "Captain. AWarex," the star feature atthe King's Theatre, was-again witnessed by another satisfactory honse last evening. The startling adventures of Zlgomar are I attracting many visitors to the Palace 'Theatre dally. At the Empress Theatre there' is now appearlne a picture entitled "The House Divided." "The Silent Valley" figures as tie principal picture on tbe bill now sho'winjr at the Arcadia Theatre. ORGAN RECITAL. \ An attractive programme ha« been arranged for the organ recital in the Town Hall to-morrpw night. Guilmant's Fugue In S> 'Minor, El-gar's "I-mpe-rial _"«reh," and a melodious suite, "A Day in Venice," by Kevin, will be played.
