PUBLIC NOTICE Is hereby given, that the the following Resolution, passed at a Special Meeting of the Ellerslie Town Board, held on the 2nd day of March, 1915, and Intended to operate as a Special Order, will be submitted for confirmation at the Ordinary Meeting of the Board, to be held in the Board's Offlce, Ellerslie, on TUESDAY, March 30th, 1915. at 7.30 p.m.:— That In pursuance and exercise of the powers vested In it by "The Town Boards Act, 1905," .and its amendments, "The Municipal Corporations Act, "905." and its amendments. "The Public Health Act. 1905," and its amendments, and by all or any other statutes it thereunto enabling, the Ellerslie Town Board, doth hereby make and enact the following By-Laws (which shall come Into force on being gazetted). The following, is the purport of the proposed By-laws:--To provide for the giving and serving of notices aud applications, and for the appointment ot inspectors. Fixing the maximum penalty In case of breach of the by-laws. Prorlding for the issue of 1 icenses ■ under the • by-laws. Requiring all property wlthlu the drainage area of the District to be provided with suitable drains and regulating the connection of the drains with the sewers. Providing that no plumbers or drain layers are to be employed unless authorised by the Board. Regulating method of- repairing defective drains. Method of construction of house drains and size of drain pipes, provision of ventilating shafts and pipes and fresh air inlets, waste and discharge pipes nnd sinks. Method of construction of water closets. and providing that owners of dwellings shall upon notice provide water closets In accordance with the by-laws. Making special provision "or drainage from buildings in such a position as will not permit" connection with a sewer, the building of septic tanks in such cases and regulating the method of connecting, with such septic tanks. Prescribing specifications for pipe laying and plumbing In connection I with drains and sanitary conveniences, and providing for submission to the Board of plans before any work Is commenced.
