ACCIDENT AT WAIHI.
(By Telegraph.—Own Comepondent.) WAIHI, this day. Two miners named Thomas White and Chnn\k» Ellery were ".njicred in the Graod Junction mine yesterduy afternoon. They were boring holes with a drill in a i-ise on tbe Empire reef, when a-n exproskm took place, with -übe result that the eight of one of White's eyes wae destroyed, amd the otlher eye differed injury. The latter also eiustametl wounds to Wβ face a.nd tire upper portion of hie body. EHcry was cut about the' head, but hie injuries are not regarded as gnrioiw. It is supposed thatt a piece of gelignite lwul missed lire when the round of holes wae tired, and exploded when touelivd by the drill on boring being resumed.
