TAKAPUNA ROADS.
At a special meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council held last evening, a new set of by-laws, upon which a committee have been at work for some months, wae adopted by resolution. The Council also resolved: "That, with a view to uniformity in road-making, the Council shall adopt three standard specifications as suggested in the engineer's report approved by the Council, and to which all future subdivisions must conform. For this purpose the engineer shall report on each scheme to the Council, who, by resolution, shall decide to which specification the roads of the subdivision must be constructed. That the engineer be instructed to euhmit the standerd specifications for tbe Council's approval."
