HAWERA V. PONSONBY. "She Hawera team played a four-rink ■ match against Ponsonby yesterday, bnt the local players bad too many guns for tbe visitors, who were beaten in every rink. DAY AT AUCKLAND GREEN. The New Plymouth team are spending a whole day on the Auckland Green to-day, the morning game being against Auckland" s last year's touring team to Taranaki. while this afternoon a match is being played for the commemoration trophy. This evening the visitors and a number of local trundlers will be entertained, at a smoke social in the Auckland pavilion. The programme for the Hawera team to-day was: Remuera in the morning, and Carlton in the afternoon. TARANAKI V. AUCKLAND.
