MEETINGS.
I.OVAI. FOT'XTAI.V OF FRIENDSHIP LODGE. A special summoned meeting of the above lodge was held in the lodge room. Lome i Street, last evening. Bro. I>. Connelly. N. 0.. I presiding, the business being to elect n fonrth medical officer. The election resulted in l)r I. Mi-Sab being the successful candidate. The attendance of members was the largest for some time. NEWTON EAST OLD GIRLS' ASSOCIATION. A speci;il meeting of the above society was held in the school, on Monday evening. Miss Wright presiding. The Dusiness was the arranging of tbe annaal picnic, whirh is to iie held next Saturday, at Titlrnngi. Miss B. Farrell has been elected librarian to the association, and donations to the society were made by Misses Southernwood, Sut-i-iiffe. Willey. Crispen. and Mr. C. Garrett.
