I Mr.'AZrEisher.) was in New Zealand* be approached Mr. Massey regarding the holding of a Premiers' Corefejence. Mr. Massey fell in with the idea, and suggesteii that such a conference shooTd be held periodically in Sew Zealand and in the Commonwealth. The Victorian State Premier (Sir A. Peacook), in approving the proposal, says that such conferences' have been rendered more important in view of the war and the necessity for united action in defence and o;lier matters. The conference will be held in Sydney early in May.
