■ I — • '■ -I— - WHAT TBE LAW DEMANDS. ITS EFFECT ON AUCKLANT). The decision that has lately been arrived at by the. Fuji Court concerning the'definition of a "public bar," and the announcement that the strict requirements_of the licensing law in this respect will be insisted upon, have created some-, what of a sensation in Auckland. A hotel may have one public bar, so that every bar not opening on to the street must be closed up, and every bar but one that does open on to the street must also be closed up.
