m GRATIFYING INCREASE. A DOMINION RECOKD. Compared with the four weeks endod March 2, 1914. the corresponding period ■this year promises to show a big increase, while the month of February will probably turn out to be a record export month for the Dominion, notwithstanding the dry weather, which has been felt in several districts. Nearly all the primary products participate in this increase, wool accounting for the lion's share, with butter, cheese, and frozen meat all well represented. The following table will show bow the export of our chief products compare in the corresponding months of 1914 and 1915; —

The position of February as an export month this year is the more gratifying when it is considered that in 1914 the February exports were usually heavy, following upon the congestion at this end of shipments held up by the strike troubles, whereas the months preceding February, 1915 were heavy export months, as the following table will illustrate: —

It should be explained that only the principal products are included in the values from August to December, 1913, a s the total monthly values were not gazetted prior to 1914.
