RETURNED SOLDIERS.

DUNEDIN. Monday. Tbe names of the New Zealand soldiers invalided home, who arrived here yesterday, are as follow: —C. Williams (South Canterbury Mounted Rifles), R. L. Regiment), T. H. Wakefield <12tb. Auckland, Regiment), G. H. Harlow (12th, Nelson, Regiment), G. B. ICollyns 113 th. Infantry Regiment), G. E. Jeffry (13th Infantry Regiment), P. L. Miller (12th Infantry Regiment), G. Monaghan (12th Infantry Regiment), A. Prestney (13th Infantry Regiment), D. Canning (4th, Otago, Regiment), W. D. Manley (4th, Otago, Regiment), W. K. A BOLT FOR LIBERTY. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) DUNEDIN. this day. Of the returned troopers from Egypt, ten who deserted at" Albany were sent north this morning. Prior to their de- , parture some excitement wa fi caused by j on e , member trying to make his es:.>pc from the central battery. He was caught in a hotel. Two other members who have been brought back on account of - misconduct in Egypt, have been discharged after they had arrived, having 'already borne punishment for their offences imposed by the military authorities in Egypt. Of 22 invalided soldiers who were admitted to Dunedin Hospital, five have been discharged from the institution totally recovered. These men will be sent home on leave. Thirteen men are detained in hospital. None of the cases are associated with the diseases that have occasioned much talk.
