TERRIFIC EFFECT OF THE TRIUMPH'S GUNS.
FIRED MORE SHELLS THAN ANY SHIP IN HISTORY.
OUNS OF THE FORTS KNOCKED TO PIECES.
LONDON, March 15. The "Daily Mail's" corespondent, describing .the bombardment of the Dardanelles, says that tbe Triumph did more of the fighting than any other ship'in tbe British fleet. She fired more heavy shells than any ship in the navy's history, wrecking gun after guv, the bricks and earth being shot away and the guns somersaulting down. Heaps of old stone cannon-balls were sent rocketing skywards at every hit. The Turks, at nightfall, set fire to the forts and barracks that she had been bombarding. • .■ ■. ■
