COMPETITION NO. 1. (BEST LANDSCAPE AND SEASCAPE, Rush Scene, or Picture of Farm or Country Life (with or without figures). Ist Prize, _4; 2nl Prise, £2: 3rd Prize, -1. COMPETITION NO. 2. STUDY OF CHILD LIFE; OB ANIMAL LIFE, wild or domesticated (with or ' without Human Figures). Ist Prize, _4; 2nd Prize, £2; 3rd Prize, fl. i RULES AND CONDITIONS. All the Competitions are open to Pro* fesslonuls and Amateurs alike. There is no entrance fee. Competitors must only submit their own bona lide work, which has not beeu pre- ' vlou3ly published or entered for auy other competition. Photographs of any size or style may be entered; but Half-plates or Full-plates, printed ou ordinary 1.0.P. paper, are preferred. These should, if possible, be scut in fiat aud unmounted, and must have the name and address of the Competitor and the Number of Competition, written in pencil ou the back of each print. Address, "l'hotographlc Competitions," BRETT'S CHRISTMAS ANNUAL, Aucklaud. The Competitions will close on 20th March. 1915, and the results will be announced as soon thereafter as possible. The Proprietors of BRETT S CHRISTMAS ANNUAL will be entitled to use any of the Photographs sent In, not awarded a prize, on payment to the Competitor of a sum of 5/- per print. All prints will be returned If not accepted. The declsiou of the Editor of BRETT'S CHRISTMAS ANNUAL shall be final. The sending in of -Prints by a Competitor shall be equivalent to an undertaking that suid Competitor is willing to abide by these conditions. T ITERARY /"IOMPETITIONS.
