Gorman, 10ft 4in; javelin throwing, C. T. Ferguson, 139 ft ljin; three-mile walk, A. YV. Pickard, time 23m 50 3-ss; 440 yds hurdles, J. W. Fraser, time 61 3-ss; throwing the hammer, W. J. O'Reillv, 141 ft Jin. VICTORIAN EX-MINISTER DEAD MELBOURNE, this day. The death of Mr Richard Baker, exMinister of Customs, is anounced. RIG SHIPPING PROFITS. SYDNEY, this day. The Huddart Parker Co.'s report for the year ended December 31 shows a net profit of £57.714, making the balance available £06,002. FORBIDDEN EXPORTS. SYDNEY, March 14. The exportation of fish oil, blubber, and lead has been prohibited iv respect to all destinations.
