SHOULD HAVE BEEN TAKEN TO PORT. ' WILL AMERICA PROTEST 7 WASHINGTON, March 13. It has been officially established that the William P. Frye, sunk by the Prince Eitel Friedrich, carried only wheat. The authorities state that "the fact that her cargo was sold in transit to a British firm did not alter the necessity for taking the ship into port for adjudication. The British view is that it the United States suffers foodstuffs bound to England to be sunk, America can hardly -protest against the Allies' prohibition against the importation of foodstuffs to Germany.
