POWER BOAT ASSOCIATION.

The New Zealand Power Boat Association held a very successful picnic at Waimarie on Saturday. About forty launches were used to convey the guests, to. the scene of the day's outing, and,, with ideal weather conditions, the picnic proved to be thoroughly enjoyable. The following are tbe results of the various competitions held during the day:— Men's Dinghy Race.—A. Campbell 1, Taylor 2, H. Cooke 3. Ladies' Diaguy Race.—Miss Farmer 1, Miss Beatty 2. Youths' Dinghy Race.—Master Taylor 1, Master Beatty 2. Committeemen's Dinghy Race.—H. Bach 1, A. H. Bentley 2, A. Woods 3. Water Planing.—W. Nell 1. C. Chambers 2, Bulllvant 3.

Tug of War.—Messrs. Bentley. Thomson, Stltt. Illcks. Pierce, Mcßeth.
