THE HARBOUR COMMISSION
j SUGGESTED HAMILTON SESSION (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, this day. A number of business men and settlers throughout the Waikato are desirous of giving evidence before the Harbour Commission. An thi9 would involve considerable expense, as well as of time, an endeavour will be made to induce the Commission to take evidence at -Hamilton, and Mr. Young, M.P., the Mayor, Mr. Manning, and the chairman of the Chamber of Commerce have sent the following telegrams with reference to the proposal:— President Harbour 'Royal Commission, Auckland: "Strongly urge Commission to sit in Hamilton in order to hear country witnesses representing a number of important local governing and non-official public bodies.—A. E. Manning, Mayor of Hamilton, Geo. Parr, president of Chamber of Commerce." Secretary Harbour Royal Commission, Auckland: "Number of Waikato public men representing local governing and other bodies desire to give. evidence before Harbour Commission, but find it impossible to visit Auckland. Please put before Commission proposal that sitting be held at Hamilton, which I recommend.—J. A Young, M.P., Waikato,"
