Mr. Justice Cooper will leave for Gisborne from Auckland by the Southern boat to-morrow, to take up the Giebonje circuit next week. Hβ Honor Mr. Juetice Stringer, who has been taking Supreme Court work in Auckland this week, will leave for Wel- ■ lington by the midday train to-morrow. The Rev. Percy N. Knight, BIA., of Christchurch, ie at on a vteit to Auckland for a few days, and will preach at the Pitt Street Methodist Church on Sunday next. Mr. Harry Wade, of Auckland, and Mr. William Watson, formerly of Churchill, Waikato, who have received commissions in the Expedltonary Force, left for Trentham by last night's express, a number of their friends being at the station to bid them farewell. Mr. James Evane, of the firm of Messrs. Ross and Glend'.ning, who hae received a commission in the X«w Zealand Expeditionary Force (Mounted) left by the exprese last night for the camp at Trentham. Before leaving Auckland he wae the recipient of several parting gifts. Hie friends gave him a farewell dinner, and there was a large gathering on the station platform to see him off. air. J. D. Bell, president of the Briebane Merchants' Association, left Wellington by the Sydney steamer to-day. Mr. Bell arrived in Auckland by the Makura last voyage, and, alter spending a holiday in the .thermal regions, came on to Wellington to spend a week with his relatives here.
