1 Speaking in the House, of Commons, Mr Neil' Primrose said ,there was an , inclination to exaggerate the. harshness of the treatment of prisoners' in Germany. Our wounded men were being well treated, but the treatment 'oh the field and Mn 'transit -to Germany was harsh in many cases: Therelwas reason to hope that Germany would accept the Government's suggestion, under 1 which an officer of the American- Embassy would keep in touch with the prisoners
