The welcome showers of last night (Thursray) were b*dly 'needed lor young grass, of •which a good quantity Is being again put Settlers have contributed very lieavily to the supply of chaff this season, and oats do exceedingly -well iere. Wheat hae not been cultivated hitherto, although It does well, on account of the absence of threshing machines. If the proposal to re-establish ■local flour mills in carried out wheat will be, ,again largely raised. .J
