BRIDGING THE WAIROA.
DARGAVILXE TO HOREHORE. (By Telegraph.—Own Correspondent.) WARKWORTH, Friday. At a meeting of delegates of local governing bodies, it was decided to secure estimates of the cost of a bridge, sixty chains long, across the Northern Wairoa River, between Dargaville and Horehore. Alternative tenders for the work in wood, concrete, and steel, are being received until April 10th. and a decision -will be made two daya later. A structure having ferro-concrete piers 'was favoured. It wae decided that it be 16ft wide, and 20ft above high-water mark, and that the position of the bridge on the Dargavillo side of the river be in a line with Grey Street.
