THAMES, this day. - There was a large gathering of the Masonic fraternity at the usual monthly communication of Lodge -of Light, No. 494,1.C., last evening, the occasion being an official visit by Very Wor. Bro. Schnauer and officers of Lodge Ara, No. .388, I.C. After the reception of the j visiting lodges" and- brethren the wor. master (Bro. Geo. H. A. Cribb) handed over command of the lodge to Very Wor. Bro. Schnauer, and his officers, who conducted the ceremony of raking in a moot impressive manner. At the conclusion "of the lodge business the'brethren adjourned to Kirkwood Street Hall, -where an enjoyable social hour, was spent. The visitors visited the bowling green, as gueSte of the local'club, and played an enijoyable match. They also vferted various places..of interest, and were taken on an excursion to the coast.
