ORGANISING THE MANUFACTURE OF WAR STORES, PUTTING AN END TO LABOUR DISPUTES. (Received 2,10 pJD,) LONDOX, March 9. The House of Commons passed a. bill applying the Defence of the Realm Act to all factories. J . ■ -■ ••■ _; ■• Mr. Lloyd George said that the Government intended to organise the whole engineering community for the purpose of increasing the output. He was looking out for a strong business man, with push-and go, to carry the thing through. The duration of the war, even the Allies' success, depended upon this step. The bill enabled the Government to house workmen near factories.
