RIYERINA LATE. ■ The local office'of the Huddart-Parker Co. received a wireless message this morning from the Klverina to the effect that she would probably arrive in port at three o'clock this afternoon from Sydney. The meesact' did not state the cause "of the delay, the steamer being nominally- dne at about $.:%) a.m.. bnt it is supposed that she has been meeting with easterly weather. ATUA FROM THE ISLANDS. The I'nlon Co.'s Island steamer Atua arrived in port last evening from Tonga. ■Samoa, and Fiji, she left Auckland on !• primary S, and made the usual calls at Island ports, arriving at Suva ou the return trip at the beginning of last week. .She made the earlier part of the trip in ffood weather, hut after leaving Suva on Wednesday evening she ran into a heavy easterly gale, which continued till Friday. heavy seas coming aboard almost continuously. After Friday. however, the weather. moderated.. The Atua brought passengers and a cargo of 14.257 sacks of COpra, and a quantity" of fruit. She leaves again for the Islands on Monday next.
