■ ■ FOR COUNTRY SCHOOL TEACHERS. BIG SCHEME IN CONTEMPLATION. Step*, have been taken by the Auckland Education Hoard in the direction of giving instruction in dairying to country school teachens. At to-day's meeting of the Hoard the chief inspector (Mr. E. K. Mulgan) asked for permission to hold a class in Auckland during the present dairying season.

Mr. Mulgan said that between 20 and 30 head teachers in country districts had already taken up the etudy of elementary dairying, and in his opinion it was desirable for the Board to give them assistance. They could be taught a great deal about tlm properties of milk, and also 'instructed how to take care of it.
