Public notice is hereby given that nt » Special Meeting of ■ the Mount Eden Borough Council, held on -the 3rd' day! of Angnst, 1914. it was resolved, by way of Special Order, that the Mount Kder. Borough Council make a By-law under The Municipal Corporations Act, 1008, and'any other, power in that behalf it thereunto enabling—to repeal the Building By-laws at present in force in-the Borough of Mount Eden, and in lieu thereof to make the following By-laws, the object and purport of which areas follows,'namely:— (a) Requiring notice to be given and plans and - specifications to be deposited with the' Council of any proposed building, or of any alterations or additions to an existing building, and requiring a permit to be' obtained for any such work before tuu same be commenced. (b) Prohibiting the erection of any dwellinghouse upon any site which lines r.ot comply with the conditions of such By-laws in that behalf. (c) Prescribing the air space to be allowed for-buildings. (d) Prescribing the material to be used in the construction of buildings and the method of construction generally (including buildings to be erected iv brick, ■ stone, or concrete), aud prohibiting the use of certain materials. (c) Prescribing a scale of fees payable for a Permit in respect of any building, or additions or alterations to a building. (f) Prescribing the conditions nnder which stables may be erected, and used in the Borough. The said Resolution will be submitted for confirmation to a. Meeting of the Monnt Eden Borough Conncil, to be held ,at the Council Chambers.
