The second reading of the Industrial Unions and Trade Unione Bill, providing for the use .by unions of their funds •for 'political purposes, woe moved by Mr. -MoComibs, and carried, the measure being referred to the Labour Bills Committee. Mr. Ell moved the second reading of the National Provident Fund Amendment Bill, providing for the extension of the Act to include local bodies in its application. After some discussion the second reading was agreed to on the voices.
