TAKAPUNA BOROUGH COUNCIL
The regular meeting of the Takapuna Borough Council was held last evening, when there were present the Mayor (Mr. W. BlotnfJeld), and Councillors Grimwn.de. Warnock, Gaudin, Blss. Raytres, Collins, Brett, and Dr. Fiillerton. Takapuna Trams Purchase.—lt was resolved, on Councillor Grim-wade's motion: "That in consequence of the extremely grave position of Imperial affairs the consideration of pure-basing the tramways and ferry service by the Council be deferred sine die." Park Proposal. —It was decided, on Councillor Warnock's motion: "That a deputation consisting of the Mayor and as many connclllors as can And It convenient wait upon Messrs Earle and Kent to express their views regarding the desirability of withdrawing the park proposals, owing to the special circumstances that have now occurred."
