NAVAL RESERVISTS.
(Ity Telegraph.—Parliamentary Reporter.) WmMXGTON. Wednesda,-. The calling up of all naval reßervwts in the Dominion has met with a fair response, but not sufficient to give complete sati.sfacrt.idn. Very few have reported -themselves from Wellington, and not a greait number from elsewhere. It | should be pointed out that they are very scattered, and those in the country districts would necessarily have to place :-their affairs on a satisfactory footing before reporting. It is likely, too. that j tihe mobilisation orders have not yet | readied all the reservists. They were j lin>t issued on Monday. A much more j satisfactory response i« expended within lii day or so. Fifteen reservists arrived ;in Wellington from Ohristehurch yes-rer-I day morning. The strength of the New Zealand branch of the Naval 'Reserve is j given as 'J-JO. Nothing has yet been done with the men who have already :i,< ncnvblivl in Wellington. They are just waiting.
