« REFORM. (By Telograph.—-rrcss Association.) WELLINGTON', this day. Matters relating to electoral reform were discussed by tho Municipal Conference to-day, when a proposal approving of the principle of proportional representation was rejected. The following officers were elected: —President, Mr J. P. Ijuke (Mayor of Wellington); vicepresidents —The Mayors of Auckland, Ohristchurch, Dunedin. and Nelson; executive committee —thp Mayors of Potone. Hutt. Palmprston, Karori, Onslow, Mastprton, and Mr llindmarsh (Wellington).
