MANUREWA NEWS
The annual plain and fancy dress ball in aid of the Manurewa Hall fund took place on Thursday, and was a decided success. Tasteful decorations had been carried out under the direction of Mrs. Talbot and Mr. A. G. Mabee (secretary(. and the costumes of the dancers—there were about sixty couples—gave the finishing touches to a pie turesqne scene. Music was supplied by Meredith's Band. The grand march was led by .Miss Doris Eleman lEnglandi and Mr. Charlei O'Hara (.Mephlstopheiesi and Mis.- Kitty Juck«» I Mimosa Sam and Mr. A. G. Mahec (Russian Nobleman.. The ball was one of the most successful yet held la Manurewa.
