ASSISTANT MABZBBB , AiSSOCUTION. The April meeting of the A.P&A.M.A. took place at the SUsonic Hall,- Upper Queen Street, on Saturday evening. Mr. H. i. Wooller. (president) presided, over a fair attendance of niembcw, and on behalf of the association presented Mr. J. Crawford (hon. secretary of the Auckland Orphans' Club) with a framed picture as evidence of the association's appreciation of that gentleman'e efforts In arranging the musical programmes for the annual dinner* each year. 'Hr. J. 1L Hill gave members an interesting account of his visits to ESogliah and Canadian schools, and supplied much information concerning the "Hands Across the Sea" movement and the Interchange of teachers. Concerning the interchange of teacher* throughout the Empire, the association decided to seek furtUer Information re the Board's views on the matter. A letter of sympathy with the chief inspector (Mr. E. K. Mulgan, JI.A.), who is at present ill, was ordered to toe forwarded on behalf of the association. WOMEN'S POiLJTICAL LEAGUE. The Women's Political League's monthly meeting was held in the Foresters' Hall Hewtou, Mrs Hennelly presiding.
