ASSISTANT MABZBBB , AiSSOCUTION. The April meeting of the A.P&A.M.A. took place at the SUsonic Hall,- Upper Queen Street, on Saturday evening. Mr. H. i. Wooller. (president) presided, over a fair attendance of niembcw, and on behalf of the association presented Mr. J. Crawford (hon. secretary of the Auckland Orphans' Club) with a framed picture as evidence of the association's appreciation of that gentleman'e efforts In arranging the musical programmes for the annual dinner* each year. J. 1L Hill gave members an interesting account of his visits to ESogliah and Canadian schools, and supplied much information concerning the "Hands Across the Sea" movement and the Interchange of teachers.
