DEATH OF AUCKLAND PASSENGER.
ARRIVAL OF IMMIGRANTS. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON this day. The steamer Remuera arrived from London to-day with 366 passengers, most of whom arc immigrants. The number assisted under the Government scheme is 130, including 31 domestics and 17 farm labourers. The vessel ran into a gale of hurricane force on February 23, and was struck by a heavy sea, hwich washed away her starboard accommodation ladder and stove in the starboard bullworks. During the voyage Miss A. Bill, an Auckland passenger, died from natural causes ,and was buried at sea.
