POSTAL CHANGES.
new positions created. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, this day. In accordance with the recommendation of the Post and Telegraph Officers' Association, the Public Service Commissioners have agreed to create the following new positions:—Senior mail clerk at Falmerston North, assistant parcels clerks at Christchurcli and Dunedin, parcels clerks at Invercargill and Wanganui, parcels accounts clerk at Auckland and Wellington, delivery clerk at Donedin, stamps clerks at Auckland and Wellington, assistant clerks in charge of letter carriers at Auckland, Cbristehurch, and Wellington, second money order anil savings banks clerks at Timani, Gisborne, and New Plymouth, and senior telegraphists at Hamilton, Hastings and Masterton. The Commissioners hare also indicated that they approve of the recommendation that the following positions be raised a grade:—Foreign mail clerk at Auckland, senior clerk of the chief post office at Auckland, senior parcels clerks at Christchurch and Dunedin, and senior despatch clerks at Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin. The positions of several postmasters at .suboffices are also to be raised a grade.
