COST OF LIVING.
SYDNEY, this day. The Federal Statistician reports that the cost of living was not increased during 1913. There was a general upward tendency during 1912, but during the last year this ceased, and prices for groceries were found to be nearly three per cent lower. Rents, however, advanced another five per cent, the average cost of living, therefore, being about the same for two years.
