THE OLYMPIC FUND.
SYDNEY, this day. The Olympic Games Australasian committee issued to-day an appeal to the public to contribute to the proposed fund of £10,000 to train and equip the team, which is expected to number approximately 60, representing all branches of athletics. Already £349 has been promised, and it is hoped that the Government will again contribute. The amateur aspect will be strictly preserved in training the competitors.
