ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.
YOUNG MAN DROWNED. (By Telegraph.—Press Association.) OAMARU,. this day. A young man named Roy Patterson, son of Mr. John Patterson, of the Telegraph Department in Inveroargill, was drowned while surf bathing at Bushby Beac**- yesterday.
KXLX.ED BT A TRAM. CHRISTCHURCH, Sunday. A fatal accident occurred shortly after C.30 pjn. on Saturday. A man named George Westcott, well known about Christchurch, ran out of the Riecarton racecourse gate to try and catch a tramcar. He fell and was run over 'by the trailer. The injured man was taken to the hospital at once, but was dead when admitted. An inquest was held this afternoon, when a verdict of accidental death was returned. 'Z SUPPOSES SUICIDE. DUNEDIN, Sunday. The body of a man about 55 years of age, and about sft Sin in height, was found in Taliuna Park this afternoon. There was an open razor in the right hand, and a wound on the left wrist. The body was clothed in a greenish check suit, and there was a set of artificial upper teeth in one pocket. Deceased appears to have been a working man, but there is no clue to his identity, further than that the buttons on hie clothes are branded with the name of an Invercargill firm.
