SUFFRAGETTE ANARCHY.
FAILURE OF THE CAMPAIGN. EXILES LEADER'S ADMISSION. LONDON, February 7. A new suffragette society, consisting of men and women, has been formed. The only qualification for membership is that each member shall regard woman's suffrage as the foremost political issue of the day. It is intended to institute a campaign in every electorate, and to keep pestering politicians by demonstrations, deputations, and heckling at public meetings. The branch led by Hiss Sylvia Pankhurst has become independent, and been renamed the East End Federation. 'The Suffragette" declares that her supporters are chiefly Socialists. Miss Christabel, in an interview in Paris yesterday, declared that she did not intend to return to E7ig]and. Her mother did not think of abandoning the Women's Social and Political Union, but the differences between Miss Sylvia and the union made it necessary for the former to organise an independent association. "Le Matin" (Paris) states that Miss Christabel has realised that the campaign of violence and incendiarism did more harm than good to the feminist cause.
